Thame & tonsillitis

Quick update — there's no reception in Thame. I climbed up to a monastery to get a signal. Apparently the monks love their wifi.

The team medic has diagnosed me with tonsillitis. I'm on antibiotics now, never one to make things easy for myself. We head to 4,400m tomorrow and then have a rest day at our wilderness camp. Most likely a dark zone from there, so don't fret if I'm offline for the next 4–6 days.

Good news though: no AMS yet, and I've discovered the brilliance which is pineapple Tang. Quote of the day, from one of our climbing Sherpas: 'If no snow, we don't bother go.' Nepali apparently consider anything under 5,000m a hill.
