Made it — the Lilydale-to-Warburton rail trail done and dusted. The Main Yarra is genuinely worthwhile: a real contrast between city, industry, suburban sprawl, and bushland, all strung along an old rail corridor.
Length was a problem on the way back. Ironically, catching a train halfway home wasn't an option this time — the closest station is precisely where I started — so with an abundance of lactic acid I rolled back into Lilydale after just under four hours of riding.
