Today we did a short acclimation walk above Namche. Balram had promised spectacular views if the weather behaved. What we found was simply the most spectacular landscape I've ever seen.
Finally, after years of obsession, I have seen it with my own eyes — Sagarmatha, Chomolungma, Mt Everest. Ama Dablam (6,812m) sat perfectly framed beside it. Kongde Peak (6,011m) revealed itself in clear skies — the shy mountain you never knew was there.
